The Dash View 40R records three angles at once: 4K out the front, Full HD out the back and a Full HD camera pointed into the cabin. That interior view is the reason to pick it, since rideshare, delivery and fleet drivers often need a record of what happens inside the car as well as on the road. The front camera uses a Sony STARVIS sensor for cleaner night footage, and a supercapacitor handles the heat inside a parked car far better than a battery. Built in WiFi moves clips to your phone and GPS logs speed and location on every file. It is a genuine three channel setup rather than a front and rear pair with an add on.

Supply is only half the job. We fit the Uniden Dash View 40R on the bench, hardwire it for parking mode, hide the cabling and set up the app before you drive out.
