Anyone can plug a camera into the 12 volt socket. It works while you drive and does nothing the moment you park. A hardwire install wires the camera into the car's fuse box through a proper battery protection module, so it keeps recording while the car is unattended without flattening the battery.
We route every cable behind trim and headlining so there is nothing dangling across the windscreen or down the pillar. It looks factory.

Two ways a camera watches a parked car
Buffered parking mode
The camera keeps a rolling buffer of the seconds before and after a bump, so the actual moment of impact is captured, not just the aftermath. Best when you want the full picture of who did what.
Low power parking mode
The camera sleeps and wakes on impact or motion, drawing tiny power so it can watch for far longer on a battery pack. Best for long street parking where days of coverage matter more than the pre-impact seconds.
