What it does
The B-130A is a dedicated lithium-iron phosphate battery pack that powers the dash cam in parking mode from its own cells instead of the car battery. It charges while the car is running and then runs the camera after the engine is off, so the starter battery is left alone. LiFePO4 chemistry copes better with the heat inside a parked car than standard lithium-ion. An installer fits it where a customer wants long parking cover with no drain on the vehicle battery.
